An insight into post-natal depression

By Joanne Beckett

10 to 15 percent of all women develop some form of post-natal depression where treatment is needed.  Without the correct treatment post-natal depression can last for months.

More commonly new mothers suffer from the baby blues.  This is a feeling of anxiousness and tearfulness that usually will sink in on around the fourth day after giving birth.  These feelings will usually pass after a couple of days, providing the new mother has had enough rest to help her on her way with her new arrival.
