On
Sunday morning we all got up about 5 o’clock and we all got ready. The
taxi came about 6 in the morning to take us to the airport and when we got
there we went to the check in. The lady asked for the passports and we
gave them to the lady. She asked Melanie her age. Melanie said she was 16
years old. And that is when the lady said that Melanie needs her own
passport. She said we had to go and see her boss. She said that she
can’t let us go today but she said to go home and in the morning to go
to Liverpool Passport Office and to take the tickets and tell them we need
an emergency passport. The
next day was Monday and we drove straight to the passport office in
Liverpool. A lady took the
passport forms and asked us to wait. After one hour she came back with
Melanie’s passport. That
day we telephoned up Travel City and the lady said we would have to go to
Glasgow Airport. The soonest we could go on holiday was Tuesday. A friend
drove us to Glasgow airport on Tuesday. So we started our holiday 2 days
late. It could have been worse.
