Halloween

Halloween is an American festivity that began in the middle ages in the year 1814. In those times beggars used to ask for Soul cake (which consisted of sponge with currants and jam). In Mexico they have a similar festivity to Halloween and it is called The Day Of The Dead.   They mourn for dead relatives by celebrating their lives. Now children get dressed up and go Trick or Treating to every house.

Last year I got dressed up as a vampire and my boyfriend got dressed up as a zombie and we went to a pub in Sale called The Crouching Tiger and we won first prize and they gave us a free pint. When the kids came Trick or Treating I gave them toffees but when I ran out of toffees I gave them money. When I ran out of both then I decided to scare them away and it worked.

This year I am going to get dressed up as a witch and my boyfriend will dress up as a werewolf. I hope that this year we win first prize again. I love Halloween and I will continue to get dressed up every year.   It’s a lot of fun and great for adults as well as children.
