Dear Sir,

I am writing to you to complain about the meal I had in your restaurant last week. I went with my wife on Fridat was our wedding anniversary. We were very disappointed both by the quality of the food and by the poor service.

We had booked a table for 8 o’clock, but there was no table for us when we arrived. We were told we could get a table in ten to fifteen minutet was a full forty minutes before we could sit down.

At the table one of the glasses was dirthe waiter said he would replace it but this took ten minutes. One of the knives had also not been cleaned properly.

The soup I ordered was nearly cold. I complained to the waiter, but he told me I’d have to speak to his boss. We argued about this for a while and then I did get a warmer portioerhaps they put the plate in the microwave.

For our main course my wife ordered the steak, and particularly asked for it to be rare. I know the waiter took the order properly as he repeated it back to us. When the steak arrived it was well done. My wife complained to the waiter, but he told her that it was what she had ordered. He refused to change it. You will understand that she was very upset completely ruined our evening.

I have had good meals before in your restaurant. That is why we decided to go there on a special occasioe hope this was a bad night and that the problems we had are not still there for other customers. I look forward to an explanation from you and to some compensation for a ruined evening.

Yours faithfully,
