This module tests your competence in using presentation and/or drawing tools. You must demonstrate a sound knowledge of the functionality of the application and the practical skills connected with the work of creating different kinds of presentations and drawings.

1 Using the Application
  • Open and close existing presentations
  • Save presentations in various formats
  • Use Help functions
  • Modify toolbar display 
  • Modify options 
2 Developing a Presentation 
  • Change display modes
  • Add slides
  • Use and modify slide layout formats
  • Change background colour
  • Apply design template
  • Insert pictures, images or drawn objects.
  • Add text in footers 
  • Use a master slide.
  • Number slides
  •  
  • Move and copy slides, text or images within the presentation or active presentations.
  • Delete slides, text or images.
  • Reorder slides 
3 Text and Images 
  • Enter text in slide and outline view
  • Modify slide content
  • Change font type.
  • Use italics, bold, underlining and case changes.
  • Use text effects such as colour, shadow.
  • Change text alignment
  • Adjust line spacing.
  • Change the type of bullets/numbers in a list.
Charts/Graphs and Drawn Objects 
  • Create and modify charts
  • Create and modify an organisational chart
  • Insert and modify different types of drawn objects: line, freehand line, shape, arrow, text box 
  • Import images
  • Apply shadow 
  • Align objects - left, right, centre.
  • Rotate and flip objects 
  • Move and resize objects.
  • Bring objects to front or back
  • Copy and move objects within a presentation or to other presentations
  • Delete objects. 
5 Slide Show Effects
  • Add and modify preset animations
  • Create slide transitions
  • View slide show
6 Slide Show effects
  • Select output format
  • Use spell-check program and make changes where necessary.
  • Create Notes pages
  • Set page setup and print options
  • Print slides in various views and output formats.
