Vocational Studies is a course designed for students who have good speaking skills in English but may  have had little or interrupted prior education either in the UK or in their own country.  It is intended that Voc Studs students would then progress either into further courses of study, some form of vocational training or directly into the work force.

Some of the topics covered in the course are as follows:

• An introduction to UK, European and World Geography

• An introduction to the study of History

• Map Reading and Route finding

• General Principles of Politics

• General Health Studies

• The world of Work - about jobs and workplaces

• Personal Profiling - Identifying what you would like to do in the future

• Job placement and shadowing - seeing what people do in their jobs

• using computers

• developing general language skills in English

• Developing Study Skills
