GRAHAMS WELSH BOTHY PAGE

A Welsh Bothy
BOTHIES are simple unlocked shelters located in the more remote areas of Britain, they are intended to be used by people who enjoy the beautiful and lonely places of the country. The buildings belong to land owners who kindly allow their use as open shelters. They are managed however by The Mountain Bothies Association. The M.B.A. - A charity - relies on the work of unpaid volunteers to maintain existing bothies, or, by resurrecting old ruins, create new ones. Most are situated in the Scottish Highlands, but some can be found in both England and Wales.
