The computer communicates with you through the monitor by displaying information. But how do we communicate with the computer?

We have two pieces of hardware for this. Between you and the monitor should be something which looks like a typewriter but smaller. We call this a keyboard and this is what we use for tasks like typing letters and giving the computer information.
