Starting Microsoft Word

At the bottom left of your screen you will see a button labeled start. It looks like this: . Push this so that the menu pops up. Move the mouse up to Programs and look for from this menu. If you can't find it, look for Microsoft Office which is another menu and you should find the program in there. To start the program, release the mouse button over Microsoft Word in the menu.

Switching Between Programs

At the bottom of the screen, to the right of the Start button, you will see buttons for all the programs you have open. This is called the Task Bar. If you are not looking at the program you want to work in, push its button at the bottom of the screen.
