Notes for International Students
If you are an international student you should try to answer the following questions when writing your personal statement:
- Why do you want to study in the UK?
- Are you currently studying any subjects that you will not have an examination result or certificate for?
- What evidence do you have to show that you can complete a higher education course that is taught in English?
- Have you had a position of authority or used your communication skills in any activity?
- How will you be supported whilst studying in the UK? Perhaps you already have friends or family who are living here and who would be able to help you to find your way round a strange country.
- If any of your studies have been assessed in English it will be to your advantage to mention them.
